About Lisa
Lisa is a licensed clinical social worker, providing evidence-based psychotherapy treatment to a varied client population.
Having graduated from New York University with a Masters Degree in Social work, Lisa uses a warm, supportive and collaborative approach with her clients to clarify goals and provide skills and strategies for implementing change.
Lisa works with adolescents and adults to treat: anxiety, depression, relationship conflict, grief, and loss.
Lisa’s Experience
Lisa has experience working in a variety of settings: school-based, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, Partial Hospitalization Programs, Community Mental Health Clinics, and private practice. Lisa facilitates individual and group treatment using Dialectal Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and exposure therapy. Lisa is also a certified social work field instructor which allows her to provide supervision to Social Work graduate students.
Individual work
Lisa works with adolescents and adults to address struggles with depression, anxiety, suicidal thinking, self-harm behaviors, relationships, work and school issues and a host of life transitions.
Group work
Clients receive materials describing DBT skills and their function. Sessions include mindfulness practice and new skills instruction. DBT skills group teaches skills to use for managing intense emotions, interpersonal conflict as well as providing a deeper understanding of how and why we experience our emotions.
